top-40.org is glad and proud to present debut solo album of Olga Nosova, whom most of you probably already know. Olga evolved from local Moscow free/prog/noise/industrial scene, and throughout 2000s she was playing drums in various bands and projects (Syncopated Silence, Motherfathers, [Br]om, Iad, Sobaki Tabaka, etc).

Nowadays Olga Nosova is a member of ASTMA (experimental/improv/electronics duo with Alexei Borisov), actively performing around the globe. In 2010 we published their first official release (Istanbul Kebap, live from Turkey), and since then ASTMA created few studio albums and numerous live recordings, released by various labels around the world. Olga collaborates with many Russian and international artists, musicians and projects: Sergei Letov, Ilia Belorukov, Volga, Notchnoi Prospekt, Peter Brötzmann, Dave Phillips, Thomas Buckner, Pekka Airaksinen, Anton Mobin, Louis Rastig, Thomas Lehn, Olivie Di Placido, Dario Fariello, Giuseppe Birardi, Jandek, John Hegre and many others.

RAW is a very unique album, showing more intricate and delicate side of Olga's artistic output. She was always known by the diversity of her creative methods and willingness to explore even the deepest offshoots of human perception and imagination, but generally she had a reputation of loud and wild performer. Not this time; even most intense and powerful compositions are perceived as something ethereal, with silence and quiet sounds playing a crucial role in them. Not much of a traditional song structure can be found on this album, but Olga was able to turn abstract sound canvases and wordless chants into touching, powerful and sincere Music – and even very experienced artists in that genre more often than not failed to do that. We lived more than a month with this album, and still can't get enough of it. Now it's your turn. DON'T MISS!
